Justin's award-winning design work has been recognized by the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), American Planning Association (APA), and Public Art's Year in Review. 

Justin has authored and co-authored articles for multiple trade and professional organization magazines. A skilled listener and practiced presenter, Justin leads public involvement and design workshops across the country to assist groups, municipalities, and institutions to create meaning together.    

Justin's love for people of all kinds and the artful design of Places (Space + Meaning) for communities are the driving forces behind his work. He speaks and presents regularly on the importance of an inclusive public process when seeking a successful community design. 

Justin's advocacy for the importance of sustainability, walkability and vitality in urban areas has led him to be an active participant with the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Iowa District Council since its inception; he has served multiple leadership roles including District Council Chair and Governance Chair. Justin holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Iowa State University and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
