Existing and created wetlands, including a two-acre pond, have been transformed into a 12-acre park which features a variety of wetland landscapes.

RDG worked with regulatory agencies including the City of Coralville, The Iowa Department of Natural Resources and the United States Army Corps of Engineers to create a park and wetland along the Iowa River that is a sustainable aquatic habitat with interpretive educational opportunities. A wetland walkway made of metal grating weaves through pond-side cultures, wooded wetlands and emergent wetlands, creating many opportunities for learning about and experiencing the diverse culture of a variable wetland environment.
