Architecture Overview:

The initially proposed design for Westwood Church is a response to the desire of the church to update, and enliven its main space for worship. The existing space has accommodated regular service since the addition was constructed in the early 1970’s. The design is the product of a combination of wishes from a committee that is composed of diverse individuals from within the church. A general consensus was reached by the group, requesting the new design to reflect the contemporary/ casual methods in which the church conducts their services, portraying “energy” and “life”, all the while maintaining a level of physical comfort and emotional sanctuary.
