Celebrating Bike to Work Month
Commitment to personal and community health and wellness:
Des Moines, Iowa – In an effort to further foster the growing metro bicycle culture and continue to build interest in helping Des Moines become friendlier to alternative transportation and walkability, RDG will be celebrating National Bike to Work with an office-wide group ride to include nearly all (89) of our Des Moines/Ames employees on Friday, May 20.
Our passion for personal and community wellness has led RDG to become the first Iowa company awarded a Gold Level ranking by the League of American Bicyclists, fostered our shared space with the DM Bicycle Collective, and helped us become Ride Your Bike to Work Day leaders. We believe that exercise and bicycling help create more energized, alert, and productive employees, and RDG is committed to nurturing an environment with bike-friendly office amenities, organized rides, and commuter challenges during National Bike to Work Month and all year round.
Tyler Jessen currently leads the Des Moines offfice Bike to Work team. 2016 marks our 12th year of participation, and we’re proud of our commitment to serving the community with projects that reflect a similar objective to promote bicycling and wellness:
The Des Moines Bicycle Collective is holding a number of National Bike to Work Month events in our area. Details can be found at www.bikeiowa.com
