RDG receives AIA Central States Excellence in Interior Architecture Honor Award

We are thrilled to announce that we are one of this year’s AIA Central States Excellence in Design Award Winners for the Ervin & Smith office space, which received an Excellence in Interior Architecture Honor Award! The award is one of three Honor Awards presented to design firms from The American Institute of Architects Central States region of Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma, hosted by AIA Nebraska. Projects are judged based on a variety of features, including unique design, originality, extended use attributes, sustainability, budget and use of environmental surroundings.

Jury notes: The jurors praised the restraint and minimal palette in this interior. The plywood clad program elements and strategic pop of color becomes a rich space defining moment; spaces within space which are wonderfully articulated as furnishings placed within its industrial container.

A special thanks to the jury and to AIA Nebraska, and congratulations to all of the winners and entrants this year. The entries were all fantastic and we find ourselves among many very talented designers!
