Quality facilities matter to student athletes searching for a college home.This major expansion provides new and improved facilities to grow multiple athletic programs at Central College.
RDG's design for the Central College P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium expands the existing A.N. Kuyper Athletics Complex to establish a new south entrance, atrium and expanded lobby space and incorporate a Hall of Honor and All America corridor to highlight more than 200 of the college's decorated student-athletes. The design extends the structure to the west to create new men's and women's varsity locker rooms, a new wrestling room and expanded areas for hitting cages to serve the college's baseball, softball and men's and women's golf teams. To enhance the 47-year-old building, RDG's design also replaces major infrastructure elements and plans for a second phase, which will create new spaces for team meetings, administration and recruitment activities and a new athletic training room.
