The goal of the facilities master plan for Southeast Community College was to analyze existing facilities in terms of size, use, location and condition on each campus.

This project looks at all three campuses making up the Southeast Community College System. Each campus is unique having its own identity and vision that needs to be recognized and understood to properly develop the plan. Each identity is tied to programs and the types of facilities to meet students' needs. The plan looks at the micro-scale (campus level) and the macro-scale (institution-wide) to ensure each campus plan is stitched into the overall fabric of the institution to provide optimal operation across all campuses.   The plan provides SECC with a system-wide assessment of the current space inventory, provides a strategic vision for each campus to optimize the efficiency of each space type and reduces redundancies within the space inventory to operate at peak efficiency. The plan also identifies future projects including system upgrades, renovations and new facilities. Each project is laid out with real-time budgets, space programs, timelines and implementation sequences for the College to develop an overall capital plan for the next 15 years.
