RDG Planning & Design is looking to hire an organized individual with a knowledge of hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, a solid understanding of design drawings and specifications and the ability to multi-task and coordinate with clients for our Water Resources Team. This individual will contribute as an engineer on a variety of different types of project around the Midwest and across the nation.

  • Watershed planning and analysis
  • Stormwater management and understanding of Best Management Practices
  • Stream Restoration and Stabilization
  • Permit Assistance
  • Quality Control


Skill Requirements

  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Coordination with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Report writing
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and hydrologic computational methods
  • Experience with design drawings and specifications
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (Civid3D preferred) and Microsoft Office


Education/Experience

  • BSE in Civil, Environmental or Agricultural Engineering (or a related engineering field)
  • 2-10 years’ direct experience
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
  • Intends to pursue, or has obtained, licensure as a Professional Engineer
  • Preferred experience with hydrologic modeling software and Bluebeam Revu
  • Familiarity with Iowa Stormwater Management Manual or similar design standards
  • Familiarity with Iowa SUDAS Design Manual or other similar design standards
