Fremont Area Medical Center - Center for Wound Healing
Services provided on this project:
Interior Design Overview:
The Center for Wound Healing is conveniently located in a building adjacent to the main hospital campus. This outpatient center utilizes advanced therapies and proven clinical protocols in providing comprehensive, integrated services optimizing the hospital's wound care capabilities. The center was designed for both patient comfort and privacy and staff efficiency. Patients will register at the welcoming waiting area, proceed to a private dressing area, and then to the hyperbaric treatment room. If a hyperbaric oxygen treatment is not required, the patient is escorted directly to an examination room from the waiting area. Clear access to treatment areas by both staff and patients was important to the design. The staff and physicians are located to be working close to the treatment area and examination rooms at all times. The interior design uses timeless materials. Patients walking into the center are greeted by rich woods, warm colors, and natural lighting. This design contributes to the design of an environment that encourages healing, helping to suggest the quality of care provided.
