Services provided on this project:
RDG’s multi-disciplined integrated design approach and collaborative process helped deliver a dynamic, energy efficient and cost effective solution for a new office building and driver's training test facility. The design effectively integrates controlled daylighting and environmentally friendly materials inside, while bio-swales, rain gardens, low maintenance native plantings and a pioneering use of pervious pavement help sustainably manage storm water and snow melt onsite.
The mechanical design for the new headquarters included a ground loop heat pump system for environmental conditioning and an energy efficient lighting system. Electrical Design included efficient lighting and automatic controls, access control, datacom and telecom communications systems. This project included the analysis of several energy saving measures during the design process utilizing a life cycle analysis to assist the owner in selecting the best cost effective and economical solutions.
Interior Design Overview:
The RDG Interior Design team selected flexible workstations and furniture so that they may be reconfigured and changed as this client's needs and technology change over time. Low panels allow for day light to penetrate into the building so many workstations can take advantage of natural light and views.
