Winona State University - Integrated Wellness Complex

Winona, MN

Services provided on this project:

Architecture Overview:

The design creates an integrated approach to community wellness by overlapping spaces that might otherwise be kept in separate campus buildings. It also provides a flowing progression from the main student entrance rotunda through the building with opportunities for natural light along the way to Memorial Hall. The large south facing facade is oriented to conserve energy and increase the diffused natural light deep into the recreational spaces of the facility. The elevations of the Integrated Wellness Center are decreased in mass, creating more human scale elements to the pedestrian compared to the existing McGown Gymnasium.

Graphic Design Overview:

RDG created athletic graphics for Winona State University’s new Memorial Hall space. The design showcases the broad history of WSU’s athletics, while creating excitement for the future of the programs. Designs include both a variety of environmental graphics and graphic templates for the large quantity of kiosk information, all working with the athletic brand and colors.
