The final draft of Vision Derby 2040 is ready! The public hearing with the Planning Commission will be July 16th at 6:30 p.m. Thank you everyone for your input, engagement, and excitement.

The latest version of the Vision Derby 2040 Comprehensive Plan is now available. Over the last several months, city staff, the steering committee, and city leaders have been reviewing the document in preparation for formal approval of the plan. See the "Schedule" tab above. However, we need your input again.

You can choose to download the high-resolution version of the document or the low-resolution version. The low-resolution version is faster to download, whereas the high-resolution version is better for print. The plan is best viewed as spreads in your PDF viewer of choice.

Over the past year, the Vision Derby 2040 Steering Committee has been meeting regularly to create an updated Comprehensive Plan for the City of Derby. This plan guides decision-making and land use over the next 10-20 years. We have reached a draft plan after many public input events and comments, along with guidance by the Steering Committee.

The plan will be posted on June 1st for comments! Check back soon!

The consultant team met with students at Derby High School in September to teach them about the planning profession. Students learned how planning shapes Derby and why Vision Derby 2040 is such an important process.

Thank you, everyone, for your input at National Night Out at Rock River Rapids! It was a great evening for swimming, hot dogs, and ice cream. We heard some awesome ideas and encourage you to tell your friends to take the survey.
