City of Garden Plain Pedestrian & Bicycle Master Plan
The City of Garden Plain is working with RDG Planning & Design, CFS engineers and Venice Communications to prepare a new Pedestrian & Bicycle Master Plan. This plan will identify overall goals and guide the City’s growth in expanding the Prairie Sunset Trail, sidewalks and pathways into destination-based networks. An important part of the process is to talk informally with the public who know the area best and are willing to share their opinions and insights.
We will be holding two public workshops in an informal setting. The first will be to ask the public what they think is the best way to create connections that make it easier for the public to walk, bike and hike around town to enhance the overall quality of life in the City of Garden Plain. The second will be for the public to give their input and comments on the final alternative plan recommendation.
Join us for the first public workshop:
- When: Wednesday, May 23, 2018
- Where: Garden Plain High School “The Nest”.
Your participation at these discussions is vital to helping us understand the area and its potential, enabling us to create a plan that is specifically tailored to the needs and future aspirations of the people of Garden Plain. We know that you will find the public workshop stimulating and useful.
If you have any other questions about this project, please contact Kimberly McCormick, City Clerk, City of Garden Plain at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Pedestrian & Bicycle Master Plan is a joint planning process with the Wichita Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (WAMPO) and the City of Garden Plain.
