Planning for the Academy Arts District is underway! The Steering Committee met for the first time on July 25th at MOXI Junction. The Committee discussed the project schedule, scope, and desires for creating an Arts District in Maize. Key discussion points included:
- A need to create an identity for Maize, a destination for people
- Children and pedestrian safety
- How do we define “Art”?
- What does “Art” mean to the community?
- What should an Arts District convey?
We’ll need your help to answer these questions. Look out for public engagement events coming up in August and September!
