Health Science Education Complex infuses technology with space and nooks, crannies for student success

Nursing, physical therapy, physician assistants, and radiography students – learning and working side-by-side. Driven by a modernized approach to health science education, this is just part of the innovative nature of the new UNMC-UNK Health Science Education Complex. Providing a real-world atmosphere for students, the highly-collaborative nature of the facility promotes interprofessional interaction among students as well as their teachers – a giant leap from the smaller, more sterile space previously occupied by nursing students. While the College of Nursing has a long history on campus, the expansion of complete programs of study onto the UNK campus is a new venture for the UNMC College of Allied Health Professions.
