State-of-the-art Hibner Stadium wows Husker soccer players on first visit

Before Hibner Stadium, the University of Nebraska women’s soccer team played on a small field between Memorial Stadium and the football practice fields, shared it with another sport, and couldn’t play night games. Now, fans (up to 1,800 of them), can enjoy the game from chair-back bleacher seats, 700 more can cheer from grass berms, and more yet can cheer the team on from an elevated viewing deck in the end zone – day or night! For more photos and to read more about Hibner Stadium, its namesake, as well as player reactions, read the full Omaha World Herald article.
