Official groundbreaking: Retirement community to be built in Stillwater

Today is another exciting day for our senior living team! Together with key stakeholders and local community representatives, they celebrate groundbreaking for The Ranch, an Epworth Living Community in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and one of the few greenfield continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) in the country.

The new community will commence construction immediately, with the expectation to open its doors to new residents in late 2017 or early 2018. Situated on 55 acres just minutes from Oklahoma State University, The Ranch fosters an active and energized lifestyle, offering a wealth of social events, cultural activities, and opportunities for youthful perspectives to intersect with relaxed retirement living.

The Ranch will consist of both cottage and apartment homes in a private and serene setting, while still encouraging an active and independent lifestyle and providing access to high-quality onsite healthcare. A full continuum of healthcare will be available on campus, including assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, home health care, and hospice.

A fitness center, walking trails, an arts and crafts studio, a coffee shop, bistro, dining venues, library, and other resort-quality amenities will make up more than 35,000 square feet of common areas for residents to enjoy. The Ranch will offer 114 independent living apartments, 23 cottages, 40 assisted living apartments, and 40 skilled nursing apartments. Of the assisted living apartments, 20 will be focused on memory care for residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia, and of the skilled nursing apartments, 20 will be centered on long-term care and 20 on short-term rehabilitation.
