University of North Carolina Greensboro Focused on Student Well-being
Friday September 16th, the University of North Carolina Greensboro celebrates the grand opening of their new Student Wellness and Recreation Facility!
At 216,000 square feet, the Leonard J. Kaplan Center for Wellness spans three levels and is twice the size of the existing recreation facility, bringing together the university’s Recreation and Wellness programs into one department.
Features include more than 20,000 square feet of space for weights and fitness, seven basketball courts, lap and activity pools, a 54-foot-tall climbing wall and programming for nutrition, outdoor actives and aquatics.
Designed to make sure there is something for everyone, the facility also offers a variety of new group exercise classes, as well as social spaces and seating areas where students can relax with friends and play billiards, shuffle board, video games and table tennis.
We are thrilled to be helping this institution tap into all aspects of student health and well-being!
