Women In Design: Leann Pederson

As a multidisciplinary design firm, RDG is proud to support women as designers across all disciplines. Our own Interior Designer, Leann Pederson, is featured in the Q & A section of Women in Design ‘s inaugural publication, honoring influential women leaders in the design profession.  Leann is one of two Certified Healthcare Interior Designers in the state of Iowa.

The ever-evolving nature of healthcare facilities and their ability to contribute to effective patient care, such as new technologies, volatile reimbursements, and consumer demographics, demand that interior designers have a sophisticated body of knowledge about health and safety requirements and the different needs of patients and caregivers in these unique environments.

Being committed to creating the best environments for healthcare delivery, Certified Healthcare Interior Designers are the most qualified to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of patients, residents, and staff in hospitals, clinics, and residential care facilities.

Leann’s role as an Interior Designer goes above and beyond specifying finishes, as she leads client-based interactions and design meetings to enhance the overall experience.

Healthcare Design will join its sister publications Hospitality Design, design:retail, Environments for Aging, and Contract in the launch of Women in Design, a cross-platform program set out to acknowledge and honor some of the most influential women in the magazines’ respective industries.
