RDG Planning & Design Announces NEW Omaha Headquarters Expansion!
OMAHA, Neb., March 7, 2019 – RDG Planning & Design today announced an expanded headquarters in Omaha. The 54-year-old organization, which currently has offices in three states, will renovate a half-city block near downtown Omaha’s historic Old Market district.
The announcement comes on the heels of a $290 million, 90-acre plan to revitalize Omaha’s Gene Leahy Mall and riverfront, just blocks from RDG’s new, headquarters at 1301 Harney Street, the former Greater Omaha Chamber building.
“Our Omaha office is a nationally recognized architectural firm in Senior Living, Early Childhood Education, Health Science Education and Worship facilities, and a Midwest leader in Landscape Architecture, Community and Regional Planning, and College and University projects. “Our reach is national, but our heart is here in downtown Omaha,” said John Sova, president, RDG Planning & Design.
David G. Brown, president and CEO, Greater Omaha Chamber, echoed Sova’s remarks, “We couldn’t be more proud than to have such a titan of design as RDG in the building we called ‘home’ for more than 30 years. Knowing RDG’s plans to renovate the existing structure and enhance the grounds makes their plans a perfect fit for our growing urban core.”
One of Architect Magazines past Top 50 Design Firms, RDG Planning & Design offers “meaningful, collaborative solutions to place-creation,” Sova said, an approach that will help guide the transition of their new headquarters, which, when finished, will house eighty employees in more than twenty-thousand square feet.
“We are thrilled that RDG has chosen downtown for their new headquarters,” said Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert. “As we continue to revitalize our urban core, we hope RDG is one of many businesses that will call downtown Omaha, home.”
Brown said RDG’s Omaha expansion complements the region’s aspirational attitude, “This announcement further strengthens our core and illustrates how organizations thrive in Greater Omaha.”
