RDG Named 2022 Best Architectural Firm by Des Moines Business Record
Voted on by readers, the annual Best of Des Moines list recognizes businesses, people and organizations across the Greater Des Moines Area that support a strong and vibrant community.
RDG Planning & Design is proud to announce it has been named Best Architectural Firm by the Des Moines Business Record as part of the publication’s annual Best of Des Moines list. Each year, the Business Record asks readers to cast votes for businesses, people and organizations in 66 nomination categories, which make up an ecosystem that supports a strong and vibrant community.
“Our selection as the Business Record’s 2022 Best Architectural Firm reflects the strong commitment we’ve made to Des Moines,” said RDG Principal Scott Crawford, PLA, ASLA, LEED AP. “Since our founding, RDG has strived to have a positive impact on the communities we serve. We are proud of the work we’re doing locally to spur long term-economic vitality and vibrancy and are grateful to be able to make Des Moines better for all those who live here.”
The firm has had roots in Des Moines, Iowa since 1966. In 2022, RDG contributed in many ways across the Greater Des Moines Area, including continued work for the new 88-acre Des Moines University Medical and Health Science Campus in West Des Moines, design for the new Ricochet Game Lounge located in Capital Square and a partnership with Des Moines Cinema to rehabilitate the historic Varsity Cinema. Other projects of note include designs for the new Des Moines Public School and Drake University shared stadium, as well as plans for the Des Moines water trails system.
