Each year, Engineering News-Record‘s Top 500 Design Firms list ranks the largest engineering, architectural and environmental design firms in the U.S., and also examines trends affecting the industry across markets and regions. The Top 500 list ranks firms based on architectural revenue from services performed in the previous year; in 2022, RDG Planning & Design was ranked #378.

As federal spending drives project plans, owners appear revved up and ready to take advantage of federal funding, needing design firms more than ever to keep projects from getting stalled in a market plagued by shortages. This reality is reflected in ENR’s “Top 500 Design Firms” list, where for the sixth consecutive year, total revenue for the Top 500-listed firms increased.
