Over the course of 2017, Seward created and adopted its downtown revitalization plan through hundreds of conversations with members of the public and downtown business owners. The plan provides a pathway forward to incrementally improve the central business district over the next 10 years!
The revitalization process has already begun with a $350,000 grant from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development for commercial rehabilitation and facade improvements. For more information, please review the Seward Downtown Revitalization Plan and contact the city for additional information on how to get involved.

The Comprehensive Plan will build on the input received through this process with additional community input to create a plan for the community as a whole.
The City of Seward has begun the process of creating its new Comprehensive Plan. The plan is an important tool that it provides guidance for sound and efficient community growth patterns. With the help of RDG Planning & Design, we will have goal-setting sessions with citizens where future development plans are discussed, and data are collected to analyze current and projected conditions of Seward. Your participation is much appreciated.
