Thank you to everyone who participated in the three day on site charrette event in late August. The project team held two open houses, toured downtown with the steering committee, and developed initial concepts. The month of September was spent refining these concepts and writing the final draft plan which will be made available within a few weeks in preparation of the virtual open house. We hope you will be able to join us online on Thursday, October 29th at 5 pm for a short presentation on the plan and to ask any questions you may have. Despite the inability to gather together, the Sidney Downtown Master Plan Update has begun. With technology available today the project team has meet with the steering committee, started researching and gathering data, and created a website and survey to inform and solicit feedback from residents and business owners of Sidney. August 24th-28th the project team will spend a full week in Sidney hosting open houses, touring downtown Sidney, and talking with local leaders, business owners, and residents. We hope you can join us for one or both of the open houses which will be outdoors with proper social distancing, weather permitting. The final product will result in a detailed and implementable master plan to guide future decisions and development in downtown Sidney that supports growth and advancement.
