Pat has nearly 30 years of experience designing and overseeing a wide range of project types, from streetscapes and entrance plazas to the Pappajohn Sculpture Park in Des Moines and plans for the road corridor approaching Mount Rushmore.
He has managed projects for clients in the areas of urban design, commercial, recreation design, education and transportation enhancements.
Pat finds meaning in identifying unique and meaningful community and stakeholder participation opportunities in a given project. These opportunities, facilitated at critical milestones within the design process, center on simple human interactions that can generate the spark or clutch point of a project.
Pat holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Iowa State University and is a LEED Accredited Professional, challenging his teams to integrate green infrastructure in creative ways.
