Environments for Aging Announces 2023 Remodel/Renovation Competition Winners
The annual competition recognizes refreshed and reinvented spaces within senior living communities.
Environments for Aging (EFA) has named the 1884 at Eastcastle Place as a finalist in the 15th annual EFA Remodel/Renovation Competition. Designed in collaboration with LCS Development, AG Architecture and RDG Planning & Design, the new pub is a nod to commemorate 1884, the year the community was founded.
RDG’s interior design for 1884 provides a desirable pub atmosphere that enhances the dining project, improves operation and encourages resident interactions. Residents engage with one another while passing through to the lobby or to pick up mail.
1884 has quickly become a popular spot for residents to enjoy morning coffee, catch up on news and chat. The pub's proximity to the kitchen makes it a desirable lunch venue. Evening hours transform the dinner experience by providing a spot for happy hours and special events.
Entries for the annual EFA Remodel/Renovation Competition were reviewed by a jury of 15 industry professionals in architecture, interior designers, consultants and providers.
