RDG Named “2020 Best Architectural Firm” on the Business Record’s “Best of Des Moines” List
Voted on by readers, the annual list recognizes businesses, people and organizations across the Greater Des Moines Area.
RDG Planning & Design is proud to announce it has been named “Best Architectural Firm” by the Des Moines Business Record as part of the publication’s annual “Best of Des Moines” list. Each year, the Business Record asks readers to vote for businesses, people and organizations across multiple categories. 2020 marks RDG’s 16th time being named the Business Record’s number-one architecture firm.
“We’re proud to have been a part of the Des Moines community for more than 50 years,” said RDG Managing Principal Justin Platts, PLA, ASLA, LEED AP. “It’s an honor to once again be recognized by the city we love as the Best Architectural Firm – especially alongside many industry partners and peers whom we respect. We owe this recognition to our clients and the incredible work we are privileged to do for them, and to our RDG employees – who truly do create meaning together every day.”
RDG has had roots in Des Moines, Iowa since 1966. Over the course of 2019 and 2020, the firm has contributed to meaningful work across the community, including design for MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center’s Behavioral Health Addition, continued enhancements to the Des Moines Water Works Park, rehabilitation of the historic Edna M. Griffin Building and the recently announced ground-up Des Moines University West Des Moines Campus.
