Time: 1:00 p.m. (CST)
Location: Iowa Events Center, 833 5th Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50309
Session Details
Graduating classes for Architects and Landscape Architects are nearly 50% male and 50% female. When looking at professionals, 17% of registered Architects are female and 27% of registered Landscape Architects are female. Architecture has an increase of 1% from 2005 to 2020. We want to discuss where the missing percentage is going.
RDG Principal and Landscape Architect Laura Kessel joins Brianna Hanke of Bolton & Menk, Inc., Anna Squier, AIA, of MA Architecture and Rachel Hines of FRK Architecture on this informative panel.
This panel will discuss unconscious bias, obstacles women leaders face, maternity leave/parental leave, and flexible work cultures. By attending this workshop, participants will be able to learn about obstacles women leaders face in the work environment and how firms can help support the struggles through additional benefits, flexibility, training and more.
