Session Details

RDG senior partner and interior designer Kelley Hoffman provides multiple opportunities to share insight on senior living interior trends and best practices at the spring 2024 Environments for Aging Conference + Expo.

Hoffman’s presentation titled 139 Years and Counting—How a Historic Campus Maintains Distinction shares insight into Milwaukee’s Eastcastle Place (ECP).

ECP is an esteemed senior living community with a 139-year history and a distinct position in the market. ECP’s history of success is due to a proactive, forward-thinking leadership team committed to strategic long-range planning. However, thoughtful planning and phased projects on a historic campus come with many challenges and require a team effort to turn those challenges into opportunities for success.

Learn how ECP, AG Architecture and RDG Planning & Design navigated redesigns, relocations, renovations, and everything in between. See what’s next on this ever-evolving campus committed to enhancing the daily lives of seniors.

Hoffman’s second session titled Multi-site Renovations to Maintain Market Relevance and Improve the Resident Experience discusses how thoughtful planning and strategic physical plant investments help multisite operators stay competitive and committed to providing a quality senior living experience.

Attendees will learn how Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America (PMMA) strategically evaluates their system and invests in projects to elevate the physical plant. From enhancing the entry sequence to make a positive first impression and adding enticing amenities to elevating dining and addressing marketable residences and healthcare service improvements, presenters will discuss the market strategy, design intent, project challenges, and lessons learned from several midwestern campus renovations. They’ll also share highlights from a new Colorado campus.
