RDG’s Aaron Fulton and Will Downing present “Square Pegs in Round Holes: Imaging Suite Solutions” alongside John McKenize and Eric James from the University of Iowa Facilities Management team
New technology is changing and improving imaging equipment, and healthcare facilities are eager to incorporate the best available machines for their patients. But with each change comes a challenge for designers, especially when placing the newest equipment into renovated spaces that weren’t designed for them. Designers need to think not only about how to make the space work right now but also to consider adaptations to help future replacements work smoothly. This session will review two case studies, from the perspectives of the Owner, Design Team and Equipment Provider, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
