RDG Recognized as a Bicycle Friendly Business by the League of American Bicyclists

August 27, 2025

The League of American Bicyclists has awarded RDG Planning & Design with a Platinum designation.

On August 27, 2025, the League of American Bicyclists announced RDG Planning & Design as a Platinum-level Bicycle Friendly Business, recognizing the firm’s continued commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles, sustainable transformation and community engagement.

RDG is one of just 1,244 businesses nationwide to receive this designation, joining a diverse group of organizations, including government agencies, Fortune 500 companies, museums, hospitality establishments and bike shops, all united by their dedication to transforming workplaces into spaces that support and encourage cycling for employees.

The firm’s bicycle-friendly culture is rooted in its support for employee wellness and environmental responsibility. RDG provides the amenities and incentives that encourage biking as a commuting option and regularly hosts events like spring tune-ups, safety training and group rides. Each year, RDG participates in statewide Bike Month events and the National Bike Challenge.

Platinum-level designations are awarded based on performance in the League’s “Five Es”: Engineering, Education, Encouragement, Evaluation & Planning and Equity & Accessibility. RDG demonstrated strengths across all five, reflecting its holistic and sustained approach to supporting cyclists.

The firm received Gold-level designations in 2012 and 2016 and was first named a Platinum Bicycle Friendly Business in 2021. This latest recognition extends RDG’s Platinum status through 2029.
