Renovation
The renovation of the Research on Emotions And Cognition in Health (REACH) lab in the University of Nebraska Omaha's School of Health and Kinesiology updates learning spaces to meet growing educational needs and enables the department to create a more vibrant community presence.
RDG's design for the renovation transforms approximately 26,000 SF of existing vacant space into functional REACH program laboratories, graduate student workspace and support spaces for the Midlands Sexual Health Research Collaborative, the Physical Activity in Health Promotion Lab and the Sports Medicine and Biomechanics Research Lab.
The Physical Activity in Health Promotion suite offers several inclusive features including spaces specially designed for light and sound sensitivity and family restrooms including a child restroom, an adult changing station and a separate mothers' room. RDG's design also incorporates gender-neutral restroom facilities throughout.
