The expansion of the commons building is the highlight of this project at Pacific Springs Village. The commons includes a market, bistro, multipurpose room and chapel, as well as connectivity from the assisted living addition and existing independent living commons.

The expansion of the commons building is the highlight of the recent project at Pacific Springs Village which includes a market, bistro, multipurpose room and chapel, as well as connectivity from the assisted living addition and existing independent living commons. The commons renovation incorporated a new fitness center on the lower level and a refresh to the dining amenity spaces. The assisted living addition offers traditional assisted living, along with a new offering of memory support.

This assisted living addition connects two separate buildings on the Immanuel Communities' Retirement Campus in Omaha, overlooking the beautiful, 18-hole golf course. Prior to the addition, the independent living commons building and the existing assisted living apartments were separated by a significant courtyard. This addition, which includes market-rate assisted living and memory care assisted living, was strategic in connecting the operational aspects of these very different environments to improve the sharing of resources on the campus.

The new connecting addition enhanced the common area amenities for all residents on the campus including a renovated central kitchen, the introduction of bistro dining, a new multipurpose gathering space and an all-faiths chapel to enhance the spiritual lives of the campus residents. While complimenting the 1980s architecture to achieve brand consistency, the "spaces in between" were designed by RDG landscape architects to foster social connections through shared outdoor spaces. Today, no one would know the 30+ years difference in the completion of the phasing of this enhanced campus for Immanuel Communities.
