Interior Design Internship
Summer 2025

Each summer, RDG Planning & Design opens its doors to a group of summer interns who work alongside professionals in various disciplines and across multiple markets, learning directly from seasoned practitioners and getting hands-on project experience. We’re currently looking for an intern to join our interiors team this summer and contribute to the design of spaces that reflect the unique culture and vision of each client we serve.

Pre-packaged is nice when it comes to snacks. When it comes to interior design, however, we believe it’s better to think outside the box. At RDG, our interiors practice isn’t about pre-packaged design but about helping clients make the right choices to create spaces that fit their needs today and far into the future.

Essential Job Functions:

• One-on-one collaboration with and mentorship from an experienced interior designer

• Assist with finish selections

• Assist with design aspects from renderings to construction documents

• Work collaboratively with architects on overall project design concepts 

• Produce presentations that communicate our design concepts to the client

• Assist with internal design initiatives and participate in community engagement opportunities

Requirements

• Strong entrepreneurial spirit

• Approaches work with curiosity 

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities

• Ability to work collaboratively throughout the organization

• Ability to actively listen, learn and ask questions 

Education & Experience: 

• Preferably a third or fourth-year student at an accredited college

Software Experience: Proficient in Revit, added benefit for Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape and Bluebeam.
