The Spring 2026 issue of iaArchitect highlights The Art Studio at RDG Planning & Design's featured work in the U.S. Pavilion at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia.

The Spring 2026 issue of iaArchitect explores PORCH: An Architecture of Generosity, the U.S. Pavilion at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia. The exhibition explored the porch as a uniquely American architectural element that supports dialogue, belonging and civic engagement across communities. “Do Something GOOD for Your Neighbor,” an original artwork commissioned by and included in the public art collection of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, and designed by The Art Studio at RDG, was selected as one of 54 pieces for the U.S. Pavilion.

Inspired by the natural beauty and rich history of Lake Como Park, “Do Something GOOD for Your Neighbor” honors and celebrates the local community and its leaders. The installation features a weathering steel sculpture that frames views of the park and symbolizes the connections between residents, community leaders and the neighborhood's future. Engraved with excerpts from historic community documents and paired with custom white oak seating, the installation honors Lake Como's history, celebrates influential local leaders and creates a space for gathering and reflection.

RDG Artist and Senior Partner Matt Niebuhr described the pavilion as a “gathering place that celebrates community identity and recognizes local leaders while inspiring continued investment in neighborhood relationships and shared spaces.”

The U.S. Pavilion exhibition demonstrates how thoughtful design can support community life at every scale. By contributing to one of the world’s premier architecture exhibitions, RDG joined designers, artists and architects from across the country in showcasing the role design plays in creating meaningful, connected environments.
