As a direct follow-up to the Clear Lake Waterfront Master Plan, RDG designed an expanded splashpad, restroom and shelter to support the popular beach and lakeshore area of downtown Clear Lake.
Water play features and water imagery are integrated into horizontal and vertical features throughout. Themed graphics and detailed tile work enliven the structures with waterfront murals and scenes. Reminiscent of oversized retro postcards, the tiles form a beautiful backdrop to the children's play area, telling a story of local identity and community pride.
