Tennis Complex
RDG designed top-level facilities on the UNL campus that provide the tennis and soccer programs the opportunity to compete for championships in the Big Ten and nationally. The Hibner Stadium & Barbara Hibner Field for Soccer and Sid & Hazel Dillon Tennis Center are on the edge of campus and serve as a front door to the University, so brick and concrete are used as the dominant material in locations most visible to pedestrians and spectators.
The metal soccer grandstand is clad with brick and concrete as well, to give it permanence and a collegiate feel. The indoor tennis building and its support wing serve as the hub of support for all student-athlete and spectator activities, and provide enclosure for the north edge of the soccer stadium.
