The design program for Alvine combines a mixture of private office and open work environments, conference spaces and employee lounges. Unique design elements include feature stairs, social collaborative spaces, brightly colored accent walls, furniture that expresses the creative energy of the firm, history display wall showcasing the long history of the firm, acoustical wood panels with LED light fixtures, open visibility to main telecommunication rooms, and large exterior windows and glass private office walls to provide employees with beautiful views of downtown and the local streetscape. A unique design element is the clear raised flooring panels in one of the conference rooms, which allow visitors and young engineers to understand what happens under a raised flooring system. The space is a modern solution that exceeded the client's expectations while meeting significant budget constraints.
