Ames Campus
Expansion for
Pediatric
Specialty
Therapies
This project provides a 20,000 SF renovation and additional space to the existing ChildServe facility in Ames, Iowa so children and their families can receive specialty therapy in a caring environment, to improve their quality of life.
In ChildServe's 10-year plan, the goal is for the Ames location to become a hub, supporting satellite services throughout the state of Iowa. The facility's aesthetics align with the playful, warmly embracing image that ChildServe has cultivated. The building provides unique spaces for speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy services. A new main entry and welcome center were created for therapy services, existing autism day program spaces were expanded, and behavioral health space was added.
The organization's administrative office spaces have been centralized in this facility, with efficiencies designed to reduce the square footage needed for back-of-house space. The end result is a new Iowa hub that will serve the needs of children and families requiring specialized care for years to come.
