Design Unit
A fully operational test floor and companion design unit for testing of new concepts before implementing them in a patient care setting.
RDG was selected with partner firms HDR, Leo A Daly, Specialized Engineering and APMA to envision the future of inpatient healthcare focusing on patient hospitality and staff experience and efficiency, and minimizing the need for additional nursing staff with limited availability.
The project is intended as the first phase to study innovations to be utilized in Nebraska Medicine's NExT inpatient tower. RDG's specific focus has been inpatient floor innovation strategies, innovation design testing space and serving as client presentation manager.
