The South Commercial Street Corridor is a state highway that connects downtown to some of the city's more suburban-like growth.
The plan provides a vision to improve the corridor's future economic vitality by exploring redevelopment possibilities for select sites, conceptualizing streetscape scenarios, and improving mobility options for customers and residents alike.
The concept provides a roadmap for repurposing property owned by the city, and shows business owners strategies to gain additional parking and better circulation through partnerships. Implementation of the streetscape elements is intended to proceed in the near future using funding from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
