The Heavener Complex is the University of Florida's new eco-friendly, highly sustainable, athletic-focused Gator recruiting magnet. The design includes the Gator Room, expansion of the strength & conditioning room (doubling its original size), an impressive entry, hall of fame and lobby area leading to football offices which will greet recruits, parents and donors.

An additional WOW factor comes with the complex's energy-saving features, which exceed state and national standards by 35%. Contributing to the energy savings are efficient lighting, light-colored roofing and concrete pavement on the plaza; low flow fixtures, dual-flush toilets, regional materials, low-e glazing, recycling of 75% of construction waste and a green roof with palm trees. Additionally, 100% of the building's irrigation is reclaimed water.
