In a big year for sports-related stories the Field of Dreams Master Plan, developed in collaboration with RDG, tops AN’s list of notable news.

2022 was a big year for sports-related news, beginning with the Winter Olympics in Beijing and concluding with the World Cup in Qatar. This year also saw proposed designs for several notable stadia and fields, including the $80 million redevelopment of the Field of Dreams site in Dyersville, Iowa.

The new dynamic vision, developed and designed in a collaboration between Go the Distance Baseball, LLC, RDG Planning & Design, Conlon Construction Co. and Leopardo Companies, preserves the idyllic Field of Dreams and creates a premier youth baseball and softball destination for players, families, fans and tourists from around the world. In addition to the new athletic fields, the master plan encompasses team dormitories and a hotel, among other phased improvements.

As the largest private investment ever in Dyersville and one of the largest in Dubuque County, the project will greatly enhance the facilities and amenities for visitors and area residents, while creating jobs and boosting economic development and tourism in Eastern Iowa.
