Drake Stadium Renovation, Phase I

RDG’s plan for this renovated stadium refreshes its image as a dynamic hub for large campus athletic events. The track is designed to meet USA Track & Field Guidelines, and the newly-illuminated field is covered with state-of-the-art synthetic turf. Phase I of the proposed project restores the stadium structure to make it safe and accessible, reconfigures the track, replaces natural turf with synthetic turf, resurfaces the field, and provides an expanded field event area. New decking, seats, restrooms, concessions, and locker rooms will provide comfortable, well-sighted and accessible seating for nearly 15,000 spectators.
