University of Iowa - Simulation Wet Lab

RDG provided design services for the renovation of approximately 3,000 SF of storage and corridors on the lower level of Hospital Ramp 4 to create an inter-professional clinical simulation and procedure skills wet lab. The new wet lab is part of a master plan to convert the lower level of HPR4 into a comprehensive Simulation Center for both the University of Iowa and its Hospitals and Clinics. The space includes 16 custom, state of the art microsurgery stations and a cadaver lab complete with surgical booms that can accommodate up to 8 students working at 4 different stations, along with support spaces for tissue storage and sterilization.
