Amy Haase receives NPZA Excellence in Planning Award
We’re thrilled to share that Amy Haase, RDG senior partner and community & regional planner, received the Mitsuo Kawamoto Excellence in Planning Award from the Nebraska Planning and Zoning Association (NPZA) at the organization’s annual planning conference on March 10. This is the highest honor for an individual planner in the State of Nebraska, and is in remembrance of Mitsuo Kawamoto, professional planner, landscape architect, and member/founder of NPZA.
Amy has been a member and consistent supporter of the NPZA for nearly 10 years, including involvement dating back to her first speaking engagement in 2008. Since then, she’s presented at numerous NPZA conferences, as well as many planning events and conferences around the Midwest. Additionally, she is a speaker to various groups and classes at Creighton and University of Nebraska, Omaha (UNO) on the North Omaha Development Project.
Amy is passionate about planning in the communities where people live, work, and play – they places they call home. Since joining RDG in 1999, she has managed numerous projects including transportation studies, comprehensive plans, housing market studies, downtown and corridor redevelopment, neighborhood revitalization, and park master plans. Amy is a trusted leader in developing plans and leading public engagement processes that fit the needs of communities of all sizes throughout the Midwest.
As a member of the RDG family, Amy sits on the firm’s Board of Directors, as well as several Learning Communities. In the local Omaha Metro community, she is a valued member of the Midtown Neighborhood Alliance, the president of her neighborhood association, as well as Chairwoman of the Omaha Transit Authority Board.
We are proud to extend our utmost congratulations to Amy for her well-deserved achievement in receiving the Mitsuo Kawamoto Excellence in Planning Award!
