RDG Recognized at AIA NE Awards Gala

As an acknowledgment of its commitment to bettering communities through socially-relevant design, RDG has won two People’s Choice Awards.

AIA Nebraska held its 2019 Excellence in Design Awards Gala on November 8th at The Assemblage in Lincoln, Nebraska. Carrie Strickland, FAIA announced this year’s jury results, which included a total of 82 entries by Nebraska architects. The winning entries were featured in the AIA Nebraska Newsletter this month. RDG Planning & Design received two People’s Choice Awards in two different categories: Small Project Architectural Detail and Unbuilt Architecture. RDG Architect and Partner Benjamin Kroll, AIA was present at the gala event to receive the awards on behalf of the firm.

“These projects were designed to not only better our communities with socially relevant architecture but also to meet the needs of our clients and function well for their intended purposes,” said Kroll. “RDG continues to strive for the best design from concept to completion. It’s critical to understand how our design contributes to the built environment and how it translates to the human experience. Receiving the People Choice Award confirms that our designs resonate with those fundamentals.”

The two projects awarded were FNBO at Colorado State University (Small Project Architectural Detail) and the Clemson Early Childhood Education Center (Unbuilt Architecture).
