An iconic RDG design is among ArchDaily’s curated list of projects that make use of Pantone’s Color of the Year.

For over 20 years, Pantone has announced an official Color of the Year, a selection process that requires careful consideration and trend analysis. To arrive at the selection each year, Pantone’s color experts comb the world looking for new color influences. This year’s color of the year, PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue Color, was selected for its ability to instill calm, confidence and connection.

In recognition of the 2020 Color of the Year, ArchDaily curated a list of published projects that feature the Classic Blue tone. Among the designs in “Color in Architecture: 11 Projects that Use the Pantone 2020” is the iconic High Trestle Trail Bridge. Half a mile long and 130 feet high in some places, the bridge makes use of the Classic Blue tone through LED light fixtures that reflect in the river below, connecting the structure to its natural landscape.
