The University of Connecticut's Athletic District branded environment unifies signage, wayfinding and interactive storytelling to elevate the experience across a dynamic, high performance campus.
Encompassing three major stadiums and a state-of-the-art performance center supporting five sports, the district includes spaces for strength and conditioning, athletic training, team offices, conference rooms, a batting tunnel, and locker rooms. A clear and intuitive wayfinding strategy prioritizes efficiency while celebrating school pride, using UCONN's bold brand colors to establish a strong, cohesive visual identity throughout the district.
Designed for alumni, students, families, and recruits, the experience extends beyond navigation to celebrate the champion mindset of Husky Athletics. Visitors are welcomed by an immersive entry vestibule that surrounds them with the energy of UCONN Athletics, highlighting recent victories and Huskies succeeding at the professional level.
Dynamic visuals, stats, and hype videos spark pride across generations, while five motion-activated kiosks ensure equal visibility for each sport. Visitors can explore athletes by name, uncovering individual and team achievements through an interactive, story-driven journey.
Built within UCONN's secure cybersecurity network, the system is easily updated and designed for long-term performance, reinforcing the university's commitment to athletic excellence on and off the field.
