"To put science on display" was the concept for both the architectural design and the environmental graphics package for Hastings College.
RDG designers worked with faculty to identify the central concepts in science education and create visual connections to these concepts for users of the building. The graphics in the building exemplify the College's four main areas of study: chemistry, biology, physics, and psychology, and are used to distinguish different areas within the building.
Additionally, a donor recognition display was created to recognize donors to the college's Capital Campaign. The donor wall is designed as a molecular pattern, with each donor's name encapsulated under a magnifying dome and put on display for inspection and study.
